I’m finding that writing a blog post takes too much time so I’m experimenting with doing a short weekly video review of our travels.
In this first video I cover the week up to 28th May, 2018. Having spent the previous 3 weeks on a repeat house sit in Sant Feliu de Guixols on the Costa Brava in Northern Spain it was time to move on. We made our way by bus through the Catalan countryside of Northern Spain to the beautiful city of Carcassonne in Southern France. Apparently it is the second most visited place in France after Paris – who knew. I had seen pictures of it and it was a place I always wanted to visit. As we had a ‘spare’ week and it was located between our two sits we had planned a short visit. We enjoyed a couple of great days exploring before catching a train to Nimes in Provence, France to start our next house sit.
Let me know what you thought of the video in the comments below. I really want to improve these and need your suggestions and criticisms.
Have a great week.
I like the new format Video Blog concept, it works well,Chris

Hi Glenn,
Well done mate. Very interesting and detailed. Yes, audio could be improved with a good microphone
(Maybe a Blue Yeti or Rode condenser Mike). Your travel videos would also be good to post along with
“Interviews” with locals such as restaurant owners, travel guides and perhaps where to buy the best groceries etc?
Your canny tips on what to avoid and how to travel light would be good too!
Keep them coming Lambie👍

Hi Brian, thanks for the comments. I’ll have a look at some of your suggestions for expanding the scope of the videos. At the moment I just want to find an efficient way of putting together a review of the week.
I’m recording using Zoom and sharing my laptop screen but the audio compression isn’t great. Open to suggestions for other screen recording software with audio 🙂

Creative and pretty but not for me. I like to read or skim through ALL articles and your accent was too thick, voice gravelly and video too long.

Thanks for the feedback Diane. I agree that it was a bit long, I am aiming for about 5 minutes in the future. Can’t do much about my accent (lol) but will be looking at improving the audio quality. 🙂
